Delete your Didit account
1. How to Request Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your Didit account and all associated data at any time.
To do so:
- Send an email to privacy@didit.co with the subject line: Delete My Account. We will confirm your request by email before proceeding.

2. What Happens When You Delete Your Account
- Personal Data: Your profile (name, email, phone, optional photo) and login credentials will be queued for permanent deletion.
- Workspaces & Requests: All workspaces you control and associated requests, comments, and files will be removed.
- Shared Data: Items you previously shared with others will remain visible to them unless they also delete their accounts.
- Billing Information: If you subscribed to a paid plan, our payment processor (Stripe) must retain certain transaction records for legal and tax reasons. These records can’t be deleted, but any identifying details can be removed or anonymized. We’ll delete or anonymize any billing details or tokens stored in Stripe if they exist. Didit doesn’t store your full payment information.
3. Retained Data (Limited & Temporary)
Some minimal records are retained for operational or legal reasons:
- Server logs (IP addresses): kept up to 90 days.
- Last successful login IP: retained up to 12 months to prevent abuse.
- Legal compliance data: retained as required by law or contract.
After these periods, all data is permanently erased.
4. Timeline
- Deletion requests are typically processed within 30 days.
- You’ll receive a confirmation once deletion is complete.
