What is a Didit?

A Didit is a single request or task that you create for yourself or send to someone else.

Think of it as a trackable ask. Instead of saying "Hey, can you send me that report by Friday?" and hoping they remember, you create a Didit with those details. Now both of you can see the request, discuss it, track progress, and get notified when it's complete.

Every Didit includes:

  • A clear title describing what needs to be done
  • Who's responsible for completing it (the assignee)
  • When it's due
  • Optional watchers who need to stay informed
  • A discussion thread for questions and updates
  • Automatic reminders if it's not done on time

Four ways to use Didits:

1. Assign to yourself Personal tasks with due dates and automatic reminders. Perfect for deadlines you can't miss.

2. Assign to someone else Send clear requests to anyone via a secure link. They can accept, decline, discuss, and mark complete—all without creating an account.

3. Assign to multiple people Send the same task to multiple people when everyone needs to complete their individual portion. Each person gets their own Didit, but you track all progress in one place.

4. Have someone send you a Didit Instead of keeping requests in your head, ask others to create a Didit for you. The task gets organized properly instead of being forgotten in conversation.

Real examples:

  • "Send invoice #847 to Johnson account by Nov 15" → assigned to bookkeeper
  • "Review contracts for Friday meeting" → assigned to team member, manager watching
  • "Send design requirements with mood board" → sent to client with auto-reminders
  • "Pick up soccer snacks for Saturday game" → assigned to partner

What happens to completed Didits: When someone marks a Didit complete, everyone involved gets notified instantly. Completed Didits move to your Done list where you can reference them later. They become a permanent record of what got done and when.
